Description
Rotor's Road Axle features a cleverly designed spline interface which delivers a robust yet smooth engagement allowing you to maximise the efficiency in transmission of power in your pedal rotation.

Combined with the new modular ALDHU or VEGAST cranks and oval or round Q-Ring chainrings, the innovative axle includes refined Optimum Chainring Position (OCP) Mount technology so you can adjust your optimal chainring position by precise one degree increments.

Engage your unique OCP to unleash a more efficient pedal stroke, reducing knee stress and possible injury.

The innovative modular structure of separate axles, cranks and chainring options, makes each component individually available to accommodate the current spectrum of riders and bike standards.

ALDHU and VEGAST incorporates OCP Mount technology, which enables the rider to fine-tune the orientation of ROTOR's oval Q-Rings.

Axles are constructed from CNC 7055 aluminium. 7055 combines the superior physical properties of a 7000 alloy series with incredible fatigue resistance. Every single bar of raw material is checked by ultrasonic inspection to guarantee it free of internal defects.

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining provides a precise and consistent manufacturing process. This is especially important when it comes to crafting bike components in order to ensure flawless functionality with respect to all the parts working together. Equipped with the latest CNC resources, ROTOR parts are precisely machined to within a hundredth of a millimetre.

ROTOR's exclusive patented technology OCP Mount refers to the pedalling's biomechanical optimisation when you are using Q-Rings or other oval chainrings. The shape of the axle lets you position independently both cranks and spider or Direct Mount, and thereby change the relative orientation. Users of oval chainrings benefit from OCP with micro-adjustment, in 1 degree increments, to increase the performance of pedalling and to reduce strain on the knees.

The modular system of ALDHU and VEGAST means you can choose the components individually. Simply choose your:
1) Axle
2) Cranks
3) Separate spider and spider mount Q-Rings; or one-piece direct mount chainrings

Axles are available in 24mm and 30mm sizes.
Cranks are available in 165, 170, 172.5 and 175mm lengths (see ALDHU and VEGAST).
Spiders are available in 110 BCD with 4 arms, and 5 arms for riders with existing 5 bolt Q-rings.
The new 4 bolt spider mount Q-Rings are available in round and oval versions as 53, 52 and 50 outer rings, and 39, 36 and 34 inner rings (see here for the oval outer rings and here for the oval inner rings).
The new one-piece direct mount chainrings are available in round and oval versions as 53/39, 52/36 and 50/34 combinations.
