The Marlin 6 is the perfect ride for progressing your skills on the trails. Its updated slacker frame geometry makes it easier to control on descents while the upgraded suspension fork takes the edge off bumpy trails. Integrated rack and kickstand mounts make it easy to add accessories to this versatile steed.

Loved the world over, the Marlin has long held the hearts of new riders and seasoned rippers alike, and to keep everyone rolling with ear-to-ear grins we've revamped it with more trail confidence than ever. Whether zipping through town, dipping your toes into the trail for the first time or slicing through switchbacks as a well-seasoned rider, you'll appreciate the sleek new frame that ups the capability and brings looks to match. There's a reason why it's always been your favourite.

It's right for you if...
You want a trail bike that's dialled for building confidence on the dirt, and versatile enough for commuting to work or school.

The tech you get
A lightweight aluminium frame with modern trail riding geometry and internal routing that keeps cables protected and keeps the bike looking sleek. A 100mm RockShox Judy front suspension fork that cushions rocks, roots and bumps in the trail, 10-speed fuss-free Shimano CUES shifting and the serious stopping power of hydraulic disc brakes.

Highlights:
- You get real-deal modern mountain bike geometry that keeps handling confident when you're on singletrack, but is versatile enough for use on roads and bike trails too. A bike's geometry is the defining framework it's built on, and the Marlin is a true mountain bike at it's core. Its measurements are perfectly dialled to give you a confidence-inspiring, planted feel when you're rolling down steep and bumpy trails, while keeping it easy to pedal back to the top when you're ready for another lap.
- The Thru-Skew axle provides better rear wheel security, holding your wheel in place snugly and ensuring it doesn't slip out of the frame, even when you're rolling through rough-and-tumble terrain.
- Full-length, full-coverage guards on the chainstay protect your frame and keep your ride quiet.
- Bigger 2.35" tyres elevate traction, so you stay planted on dusty switchbacks. But not only do bigger tyres give you more grip - they also soak up bumps for a smoother ride.
- Wide-range 1x10 drivetrain ditches the front derailleur for less clutter and easier operation
- Shimano CUES: inspired by rider demand for trouble-free drivetrain longevity and performance, Shimano CUES offers a new foundation for versatility and durability across a range of both electric and standard bikes. CUES features Shimano's new LINKGLIDE drivetrain technology for significantly increased life on wear items like chain, cassette and chainrings.
- LINKGLIDE technology has been specifically engineered for incredible durability while still delivering smooth and decisive shifting - along with a great pedalling experience.
- Its upgraded RockShox fork gives you 100mm of suspension for turning rocks and roots in the trail into smooth-sailing
- Versatile: built in mounts make it easy to add a rack and mudguards if you want to.
- Lifetime warranty: built to last, the Marlin is backed by Trek's limited lifetime warranty.
- The right fit: available in a wide range of eight frame sizes, ranging from XXS to XXL, there's a Marlin for anyone, at any height. This is the widest size range in the industry.
Smart Wheel Size ensures every rider gets the fastest wheel that fits.
Extra small and small frame sizes have 27.5" wheels, short-reach brake levers and narrower handlebars that make it easier for riders with smaller hands to stay in control. XXS frames have the right sized controls matched with 26" wheels. The XXS size also has a shorter 80mm travel fork that gives smaller riders a better fit for a more efficient pedalling position.
Sizes XXS and XS have a curved top tube and lower standover height that makes it easier for smaller riders to mount and dismount.
Marlin Smart Wheel Size
Medium and above frame sizes have 29" (29er) wheels. The 29ers gain from Trek's vast experience with bigger wheel sizes, and feature advanced frame geometry and a custom offset fork to give you brilliant handling: precise at low speed without compromising high-speed stability.
The right wheel size paired with your frame size gives you the perfect combination of responsiveness and control. Everyone wins.

Upgrades from Marlin 5 Gen 3:
- RockShox Judy fork
- 1x10 Shimano CUES drivetrain
- Bontrager Kovee tubeless ready wheels
- Tubeless ready tyres with sidewall protection: Maxxis Ardent Race EXO for S-XXL sizes, Bontrager XT3 Elite Inner Strength for the XXS size

Next model up: Marlin 7 Gen 3
