The tech you get A lightweight aluminium frame, a carbon fork, hydraulic disc brakes for all-weather stopping power and a simple 1x drivetrain that ditches the front derailleur for less clutter and easier operation. Don't worry, with the wide-range 11-46 cassette still gives you all the gears you need to conquer hills and crush flats. Plus, a vibration-absorbing handlebar and ergonomic grips for more comfort on every ride. Upgrades from FX 2 Disc: - FX carbon fibre fork is lighter and reduces the vibrations transmitted to your hands - Shimano Deore 1x10 drivetrain gives you all the gears you need and none you don't - Comfortable ergonomic grips with IsoZone handlebar gel inserts - Tubeless ready wheels - Bontrager H1 saddle FX is designed to enhance the rider's experience by connecting to your mobile device or computer. The optional DuoTrap S sensor enables the FX 3 Disc to communicate directly with Bluetooth and ANT+ equipped smart phones and cycle computers, so you can have all the ride information you desire. This way, the speed and distance readings are more accurate, you can check your cadence, and you don't need to drain the phone's battery by using power hungry GPS. FX 3 Disc benefits from a very comfortable IsoZone handlebar and grip system that is the result of Bontrager's inForm Science of Comfort research. The ergonomically shaped IsoZone Grip is paired with a handlebar containing an advanced elastomer insert to soak up road buzz. The result of this breakthrough bar/grip combination is a near 30% reduction in peak hand pressure - which means more comfort and control. The FX 3 Disc is equipped with Blendr, a stem/accessory integration interface that enables you to position your Blendr-compatible accessory in a convenient, easy-to-reach-and-see location without the hassle and clutter of extra brackets. Able to take mudguards and pannier racks, the FX 3 is as versatile as you want it to be. Tubeless Ready (TLR): if you want to these rims will allow you to take the plunge to a tubeless tyre system. Advantages of going tubeless include: a lighter set-up, reduced chance of punctures, and the ability to run grippier, lower tyre pressures without having to worry about pinch punctures.
