Style | Long rides, short rides, trips to the shop and continental tours. The Tour De Fer 20 has been a dependable do-it-all model for many years. Subtle frame updates bring simplified maintenance, improved braking and an even more comfortable riding position. Modern componentry, internal dynamo cable routing and faster, more comfortable tyres make the Tour De Fer a pleasure to ride. Sometimes do you wish you could just jump on your bike and disappear? The idea of it sounds great, proper freedom, escapism. In reality, you might need to do quite a bit to your bike to make it ready for whatever the road throws your way. That's where Tour De Fer comes in. A proper out of the box world explorer. Precious Metal The Genesis Mjolnor Chromoly tubeset is crafted to deliver a sublime ride feel with excellent comfort whilst also being immensely durable. The front triangle frame space has been increased to fit bigger frame bags on all sizes and mounting points have been better optimised for endless bottle, tool and bag combinations to help support you on your journey. Lightweight Drivetrain Moving to a double drivetrain saves considerable weight over it's triple predecessor. A Shimano Claris 2x8 drivetrain coupled with a Shimano Acera rear derailleur maintains a wide range of gear ratios suitable for all adventures, so can can tackle any slope while fully loaded. Traditional Twist The Tour De Fer 20 is equipped with an Amplitude G100 drop handlebar featuring a subtle flair to increase descending confidence. Drop handlebars offer efficiency benefits as well as more hand positions than a flat handlebar. Accessorised Fitted mudguards, front and rear racks, dynamo cable routing and comfortable riding, puncture resistant Vittoria Randonneur Tech 40mm tyres complete the tour-ready specification. The Tour De Fer even comes with spare spokes. Lowrider The AtranVelo Explorer front pannier rack keeps luggage as low as possible to maintain the Tour De Fer's sublime handling when fully loaded. AVS Compatible The AtranVelo Tour AVS rear rack offers a considerable 27kg load capacity. The AVS interface allows rapid installation and removal of compatible accessories without compromising traditional pannier fittings. |
