It's the pinnacle of modern trail riding, with a super-steep 80 degree seat angle, low front end and bottom bracket allow it to clear the most technical climbs, while longer reach figures across all sizes and a well-balanced 65 degree head angle mean it's still more than capable of ripping any descent. With Merida's new Agilometer sizing system, riders can run a longer or shorter reach frame independently of their height, with suspension that becomes more progressive as you size up to better cope with heavier/harder riders. Merida's engineers have concentrated on weight reduction and rolling speed too, for improved efficiency. All bikes come with long travel dropper posts, Wire Port cable routing and a reliable threaded bottom bracket plus carbon frame models have on-board tool storage and FidLock magnetic bottle cages. Details PROLITE 66 TRIPLE BUTTED ALUMINUM When creating high-end aluminium frames, Merida use the proven PROLITE 66 (6066) aluminium, as it is incredibly light and durable. In addition, it works exceptionally well with our hydroforming technology, allowing us to create complex shapes, featuring triple butted wall thicknesses, an almost carbon-like appearance and the best possible stiffness-to-weight ratio. While lesser alloys might be cheaper, it is the ideal choice for high-performance bicycle frames. FAST KINEMATIC This suspension system uses a Flexstay design to reduce weight and maintenance. It's adjustable to run 29" or 27.5" wheels without altering the geometry and has Size Tuned shock progression that increases with frame size, so lighter and smaller riders can access all of the travel and heavier riders get the support they need on big hits. INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING Running the brake and gear cables inside the frame protects them from the elements, gives a clean and neat look and can offer aerodynamic advantages. X-TAPER HEADTUBE Steering precision is vital to safe and confident handling, and the X-TAPER HEADTUBE allows us to significantly boost this precision. A larger headset diameter at the bottom paired with a smaller one at the top helps to deal with the strains modern riding and equipment can put on the headtube, all without adding unnecessary weight. It allows tapered forks to be fitted with ease and delivers precise and confidence-inspiring steering.
