Style | Open up new trails - and ride like you've never ridden before. The ONE-TWENTY 300 marries amazing value with a high-performance 130mm travel aluminium frame, making it the perfect introduction to full-suspension mountain biking. P-FLEX suspension keeps maintenance down and fun and control dialled up to maximum, with adjustable SR Suntour shocks taming the bumps. The Shimano CUES drivetrain gives precise yet durable shifting, hydraulic disc brakes give stopping power you can rely on, and the dropper post gives you extra control on tough descents. Highlights: - Trail-ready LITE aluminium frame with P-FLEX technology - FAST kinematic suspension - Progressive geometry and AGILOMETER sizing - 130mm travel front and rear: SR Suntour XCR34 Air fork, SR Suntour Edge Plus 2CR air shock - Tough Shimano CUES 1x10 drivetrain - Strong and controllable Shimano hydraulic disc brakes - Dropper seat post The ONE-TWENTY is a bike that doesn't need to be shoehorned into a category. Short travel trail, downcountry - call it whatever you want, but this is a fun mountain bike for doing fun mountain bike things. Light enough to climb all day but planted on the descents - and the perfect balance everywhere else. Whether you're into flowing singletrack sessions or big mileage in the mountains, the ONE-TWENTY is Merida's do-it-all Swiss Army Knife of a bike. Merida's progressive geometry concept is brought to the ONE-TWENTY but tweaked to suit a fun, short-travel machine. Thanks to the AGILOMETER sizing concept from the award-winning ONE-SIXTY and ONE-FORTY range, you can pick stable or agile handling independently of bike fit. Key numbers are a 66 degree head tube angle and 78.5 degree seat angle. The AGILOMETER sizing concept takes account of riding style, allowing riders to run a longer or shorter reach frame independently of their height, while suspension becomes more progressive as you size up. The hardest part will be getting the smile off your face. Details PROLITE 66 TRIPLE BUTTED ALUMINUM When creating high-end aluminium frames, Merida use the proven PROLITE 66 (6066) aluminium, as it is incredibly light and durable. In addition, it works exceptionally well with our hydroforming technology, allowing us to create complex shapes, featuring triple butted wall thicknesses, an almost carbon-like appearance and the best possible stiffness-to-weight ratio. While lesser alloys might be cheaper, it is the ideal choice for high-performance bicycle frames. P-FLEX A suspension design where the traditional pivot point on the seat stay is eliminated in favour of a flexstay design. This uses the compliance of the material and specific shaping of the tubes to allow for the seat and chain stays to move apart as the suspension moves through the travel. By removing this pivot point at the seat and chain stay junction, Merida save weight, reduce maintenance needs and add stiffness to the frame structure. INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING Running the brake and gear cables inside the frame protects them from the elements, gives a clean and neat look and can offer aerodynamic advantages. X-TAPER HEADTUBE Steering precision is vital to safe and confident handling, and the X-TAPER HEADTUBE allows us to significantly boost this precision. A larger headset diameter at the bottom paired with a smaller one at the top helps to deal with the strains modern riding and equipment can put on the headtube, all without adding unnecessary weight. It allows tapered forks to be fitted with ease and delivers precise and confidence-inspiring steering. Sizing The best approach to finding your correct size is to come to see us in the store, where we can help.
