Slash 7 is a high-value all-mountain ripper that's built for shredding singletrack at full speed. It's got a stout aluminium frame and capable suspension package that can smash through gnarly, choppy descents like nobody's business.

The first big-wheeled Slash set the benchmark for long-travel 29er performance, making it the go-to rig for enduro racers and aggressive trail riders. Slash now has more suspension travel with 160mm in the rear and 170mm up front. A longer reach, slacker head tube, and lower bottom bracket give it extra stability to match the extra travel while a 2-degree steeper seat angle and lightweight frame make climbing surprisingly easy for such a beast of a bike.

As it's built for the hardest rides, Slash comes with a threaded bottom bracket that's more robust and easier to maintain. A convenient internal storage compartment holds ride essentials or snacks. And a new full-length down tube guard protects the entire length of the down tube, which is great for shuttle runs.

Knock Block 2.0 keeps cables or hoses from getting yanked in a crash. Plus, it has a much bigger turning radius than ever before. The fork now clears the down tube, so Knock Block is removable for infinite turning radius.

Additionally, an oversized 34.9mm seat tube accommodates bigger-diameter dropper posts. They're more durable and provide better support for the longer-travel posts that aggressive riders demand.

Slash boosts the benchmark for long-travel 29ers. It rips big descents like a downhill bike, blasts through the chunkiest trails, and is still spry enough to pedal all day.

It's right for you if...
You're an all-mountain rider who loves pinning steep descents and sketchy rock gardens. You want a bike that's born to plough through the roughest stuff at full tilt, is fully capable of racing enduro, and doesn't break the bank.

The tech you get
An aluminium frame built for harsh riding with a threaded bottom bracket, dual downtube guards, Knock Block 2.0 and 160mm of travel with a RockShox Select+ shock and 170mm Yari RC fork. Plus, a Shimano Deore/XT drivetrain, 4-piston brakes for confident descents and Line Comp 30 wheels that are already completely tubeless-ready, including sealant, so you can enjoy the benefits straight away.

The final word
It may be the most affordable Slash in the line-up, but don't underestimate how fast it'll carry you down the mountain. You get a frame built for day after day of hard riding with a no-nonsense parts package that leaves enough cash in your pocket for enduro entry fees or a lift ticket to party laps.

- It's equally at home between the tape and in the rugged wild - Slash excels at racing enduro, but it's ridiculously fun on gnarly trail rides, too
- A sleek internal storage compartment gives you a versatile spot to stow tools and gear
- There's a second down tube guard to better protect your frame from shuttle-related damage
- Removable Knock Block 2.0 has a bigger steering angle to keep cables and hoses safe without sacrificing turning radius
- Wider seat tube, wider dropper - the 34.9mm diameter post is stronger, more durable, and moves up and down faster

Other suspension systems firm up under braking. The patented Active Braking Pivot (ABP) allows your suspension to remain active, whether you're pedalling, coasting or braking. This means your bike performs as it was intended, all the time.
When your suspension stays active under braking, you stay in control. You can brake later in a turn, maintain better rear wheel traction in stutter bumps, go faster, and just have more fun.
Try it on any other system: find a downhill with stutter bumps. Apply the brakes and feel the suspension stiffen. Your rear wheel will skip across the top of the bumps. Now, try it with an ABP-equipped Remedy. Feel the extra control, and imagine how much faster you can go. That's the ABP difference.

EVO Link:
The EVO Link is Trek's exclusive evolution of the rocker link from the plate-and-bolt style used on most suspension bikes today to a one-piece moulded magnesium rocker link. This lighter link provides a stronger connection at the system's most crucial connection point between the front and rear triangles.

Mino Link Adjustable Geometry:
Need an attitude adjustment? Trek solved that.
The Mino Link is an adjustment link located on the EVO Link. By flipping the Mino Link, riders can choose between slack or slacker geometry, without negatively affecting suspension performance.

Alpha Platinum frame:
Trek's high-performance lightweight aluminium alloy is continuously cold extruded and butted at multiple points for ultimate weight reduction and superior strength. Frames built with Alpha Platinum feature a high degree of hydroforming to create the most complex industrial designs for the lightest weight, and are finished using Trek's smooth-weld finishing process.

Extended size range:
A wider range of sizes than the industry standard provides more options for everyone, from tallest to shortest and all those in between. Because everyone deserves a great ride.

Control Freak cable management:
The lightest, quietest, most versatile cable management system allows any combination of shift, brake, lockout and dropper post lines to be routed through the frame for clean looks and the ultimate custom set-up.

ISCG mounts:
International Standard Chain Guide mounts offer easy aftermarket chainguide device installation and adjustment.
