ORBEA Occam TR H50*Clearance Product
|Options||Size: L; Colour: Satin Black; In Stock|
Singletrack filled with rocks and roots. Loose climbs that take finesse to finish without walking. Steep, dark chutes through huge trees and over decaying logs. Ledgy switchbacks that you have only ridden that one time when you were in the zone. With all the buzz surrounding enduro, e-bikes, fat bikes and wheel size, it's easy to forget that THIS is what mountain biking is all about. Escaping your daily routine to ride your bike anywhere, on any trail, until you can't ride any further. This is why you began and this is why you keep coming back.
The Occam celebrates this freedom and brings you to the places where it all started.
The TR H50 brings Orbea's renowned fun riding Occam closer to reach. Equipped with the latest componentry including Fox Float rear shock, RockShox Recon RL 130mm travel fork, 1x11 Shimano XT/SLX drivetrain and Digit manual dropper post, the Occam TR H50 is sure to put a smile on your face.
- Hydro Aluminium frame:
Carefully selected tubing is manipulated to increase strength and resistance to unwanted flex. Tube diameters and wall thickness are considered for Occam, and hydroforming creates unique shapes. Tubes are triple butted to reduce the wall thickness, in the middle of the tubes, away from the stress of the joints and the weld zones to save weight.
The tapered head tube provides greater stiffness and steering precision by allowing larger tube junctures at the front of the bike where stresses are high.
- Trail geometry:
TR/AM Trail Geometry Concept gives Occam TR and Occam AM models. This shorter travel Occam TR H50 takes advantage of fast-rolling 29er wheels. Each platform benefits from Orbea's consistent and proportional stack and reach sizing. This ensures every rider experiences flawless handling in a svelte, fun and fast bike regardless of frame or wheel size.
The wider hub spacing of Boost148 at the rear and Boost110 at the front creates stronger, less flexy wheels, and allows for shorter chainstays
It means more durability, responsive and nimble handling and a bike that tracks better through rough terrain.
- Orbea Digit manual dropper post:
Preset your preferred upper and lower limits, and switch between them easily.
Orbea Occam TR H10 (a higher specification version of the Occam TR H50) review, MBUK magazine, Bike of the Year 2018, May 2018:
"The Occam TR is a trail bike that clearly shares some of its DNA with XC bikes, making it an ideal partner for long days in the saddle when crossing ground is as important as tackling descents. Its suspension remains active while pedalling (thanks to a rear pivot that's concentric with the wheel axle) yet still provides a relatively stable platform that doesn't wallow under power. this allows you to put the watts down on flatter rough trails, while also boosting traction on technical climbs. The Occam rolls fast on its 29in wheels and non-draggy tyres.
Orbea haven't gone crazy with the geometry of the Occam. ...The result is a bike that feels comfortable straight away, with few quirks to egt used to, in terms of handling.
It's fair to say that the Occam sits at the more XC end of the trail bike spectrum, but if you're looking for an engaging, fun bike to ride all day long, then it's a great partner."
