Power and autonomy without sweating a drop
Orbea has designed the Kemen SUV around the Shimano EP8 motor, with 85Nm of torque. Unlike the highly acclaimed Rise or Urrun, Kemen is equipped with Shimano's standard software to offer great power. You can climb the steepest grades or carry the heaviest loads, even when fully equipped.
Orbea's engineering team has combined this motor with the 540 Wh battery released in its award-winning Rise. The battery's interior is comprised of 21700 cells that optimise energy density. In other words, it houses more energy in less volume. Its complete integration in the frame reduces the weight and improves frame stiffness, which translates into better and easier bike handling.
All this also results in unbeatable efficiency, achieving high autonomy ranges of up to 5 hours of pedalling. Additionally, Kemen SUV has the option of mounting a 252 Wh Range Extender. To charge both batteries, the internal battery or the Range Extender, it is only necessary to use Orbea's smart charger. This charger extends the life of the battery up to 30% by adapting the charge to 2 or 4 amps based on different factors such as temperature, the state of the cells or the number of charge cycles consumed.
All-terrain geometry and premium aluminium frame
The geometry of a bike is what makes it stable or twitchy, balanced or unstable, and is especially important for a bike designed to carry loads. Kemen offers a comfortable and stable position, with easy and intuitive handling.
The premium aluminium frame is manufactured through Orbea's hydroforming process and uses triple butted tubing. Thus, the wall thickness is perfected at specific points of the frame to reduce weight and reinforce any areas subject to greater tension. As if that wasn't enough, Orbea has applied polished welding technology, giving an impeccable finish and improving the performance of the frame. All this is in addition to the frame's standard lifetime warranty.
Distinct smart solutions
Kemen brings with it several cutting-edge technologies aimed at simplifying design and removing unnecessary weight from the entire bike. The integrated battery eliminates weight and allows for a slimmer, better-looking design.
Utilising innovative ways to integrate systems and remove unnecessary clutter, the internal cable system routes all brake, light, gear and motor control cables inside the handlebar and frame, keeping them safe from damage and integrating them in the sleek design.
To move safely through the streets, front and rear lights are included. Cleverly, the Lezyne rear light emits more lumens during braking to warn drivers of your actions, while there's a powerful 310 lumen front light plus an additional daytime running light integrated in the headtube.
Kemen also comes standard with a kickstand strong enough to support the bike even when loaded. The new Shimano 1x10 LinkGlide drivetrain works perfectly with the electric motor, offering smoother shifting and longer lifespan while removing gears that aren't necessary with the electric motor to reduce weight and complexity.

Kemen has intuitive and confident handling that means you can be confident on both road and trails. The Schwalbe Johnny Watts tyres are sure-footed for adventure, and the rugged rack is suitable for heavy loads and rough routes. The rack is MIK-HD compatible, supporting loads of up to 27kg, and ready for MIK-HD child seats. Kemen SUV is also fully compatible with the rear axles used by follow me or tow along baby carriages.
